The ICSD has experienced a serious crisis in recent years. Identifying the causes that led to this serious crisis is essential to ensure that the ICSD does not repeat it in future.

The past, present and future meet in the hands of the ICSD, which is why it has a particular responsibility to envision the years ahead.


We need:

  1. the early establishment of a clear and unambiguous medium-term strategy for the next 4 years,

  2. to fully restore and further improve the partnership with the major international organisations, especially with IOC and IPC,

  3. stabilize the financial situation of the ICSD, in partnership with the IOC and external financial actors,

  4. strengthening the ICSD member organisations (capacity building),

  5. strengthening the 4 regional member organisations of the ICSD,

  6. to establish a partnership with the ICSD's associated members,

  7. to strengthen the ICSD administration,

  8. training of ICSD sports professionals,

  9. to build a strong, hard-working and committed Executive Board,

  10. after the above, a long-term strategy of 15-20 years can be established, which can be adopted at the next ICSD Congress.


I therefore undertake to:

1. formulate a clear strategy, vision and goals for the new ICSD Executive Board,

2. to negotiate with the IOC and the IPC as soon as possible,

3. accelerate contacts with the ICSD regional and national member organisations,

4. and provide stabile support to the dedicated staff and professionals of the ICSD.
